Meet the Creek!
Sunday September 13, 1-4 pm at the Town of Greenfield Park in Porters Corners. This annual, free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Kayaderosseras, a citizens’ group formed to protect and conserve the creek. Children and adults can enjoy an afternoon outdoors and learn about how we all can help to keep it clean to use for recreation and habitat.
Activities for children include a guided walk along a short trail that borders a branch of the upper Kayadersosseras Creek, and a nature scavenger hunt. Cider and cookies will be available. The event will be canceled only in case of heavy rain.
Directions: Take Route 9N (Church St extension out of Saratoga Springs) through Greenfield Center. Just after passing under a railroad bridge, turn left on Porters Corners Road, then left on Line Drive - the Park entrance is marked. Drive past the Town Highway Department hills of sand and gravel and park near the ball field’s concession stand.
